Senior Account Executive – Planning and Built Environment PLMR is a successful, fast-growing communications agency with a dynamic team working with high-profile clients across sectors such as corporate communications, planning, public affairs, and digital solutions. Operating across the UK with offices in Birmingham, Coventry, London, East of England, and Scotland, we are a PRWeek UK Top 50 and a Global Top 200 agency. We seek an ambitious Senior Account Executive for our Planning and Built Environment team based in the Midlands. This role offers opportunities to work with clients including housebuilders, Local Authorities, sports clubs, and brands to achieve planning success and positive stakeholder relationships nationally and locally. The ideal candidate is proactive, client-focused, and experienced in planning communications, stakeholder engagement, or local government. Strong writing, relationship-building, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple clients and adapt messaging for various audiences. Experience in a PR agency or in-house role is desirable, and a full driving license is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Produce political briefing materials, press releases, stakeholder letters, and consultation documents. Create clear, engaging communications for diverse audiences and digital channels. Develop and maintain excellent client relationships, identify new opportunities. Engage with stakeholders including politicians and interest groups. Assist in event delivery and new business proposals. Contribute to marketing activities, including networking, content creation, and social media. Skills and Competencies: Minimum 12 months relevant experience in communications roles. Knowledge of UK current affairs, politics, and engagement techniques. Interest in planning, built environment, and local politics. Strong communication and digital media skills.
