Plimsoll Productions is a multi award-winning Television Production Company with a Head Office based in the heart of Clifton, Bristol. We are looking for a Receptionist to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative tasks.
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. The person we’re looking for needs to have a welcoming and professional personality, as this is a front-line customer service role. You should also be able to deal with urgent issues in a timely and effective manner. Multitasking and task management skills are essential. Ultimately, we’re looking for someone to represent Plimsoll and our brand, and make staff and guests feel welcomed into the building. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, enjoys interacting with people and working in a dynamic environment.
Prior knowledge of the TV industry is not essential, we are looking for someone who would like a long term role as part of our Operations Team.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday – 08:30am - 13:30pm (30 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent
Based: Bristol office
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Sign in guests and direct to appropriate staff
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Provide accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Manage the allocation of the car parking spaces
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Arrange couriers and taxis
- Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
- General admin assistance to the Operations team
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Receptionist, front of house or similar
- Competent in Google Suite
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organisational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong Customer service skills
