ABOUT US
Pliant is a European fintech specializing in B2B payment solutions. Our modular, API-first platform helps businesses streamline spending, improve cash flow, and integrate payments into their financial workflows. Designed for industries with complex payment needs, such as travel and fleet, Pliant enables greater efficiency, control, and profitability. We serve two primary customer segments: Companies looking to optimize operational processes through intuitive apps and APIs, gaining control, automation, and financial flexibility through extended credit lines; and businesses such as financial software platforms, ERP providers, and banks that want to launch or enhance their credit card offerings using Pliant’s embedded finance and white-label solutions. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Berlin, Pliant supports over 4,000 businesses and more than 20 partners globally. As a licensed e-money institution (EMI), we issue credit cards in 11 currencies across more than 30 countries, helping companies streamline and simplify payments.
What You'll Do
- Own the path to first spend for large clients within our target verticals: drive the implementation from signed deal through go-live, and own vertical-specific onboarding processes so clients ramp faster.
- Support pre-sales for complex deals alongside the sales team where a dedicated hand speeds things up.
- Resolve blockers independently: UX questions, product guidance, configuration issues (the things that stall adoption and need deeper technical knowledge, but not an engineer).
- Work a standing cadence with Technical Solution Engineering (recurring sync, shared metrics) so handoffs are fast and nothing sits in limbo.
- Develop the handoff line and use it: when a blocker is strongly technical (API failures, integration issues, custom builds) develop SOPs alongside our Solution Engineering team to best support our customers.
- Feed the loop back to Sales and Product: patterns from the field on why clients stall, what onboarding content is missing, where the product creates friction.
- In the first 30 days, develop a strong grasp of Pliant's product and API model to translate "how it works" for a client, without needing to build the integration yourself.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years in a customer-facing revenue role (solutions consulting, sales engineering, onboarding, or account management) ideally in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS.
- Comfortable owning a client relationship without a technical co-pilot in the room; equally comfortable recognizing the moment a problem needs one.
- Comfort designing and explaining integration concepts together with technical solution engineers (APIs, SFTP/file flows, data mapping, permissions, and security considerations).
- Full ownership mentality (the team will empower you to own this function); comfortable in a build-the-plane environment.
- English fluent; French or Spanish strongly preferred given current growth markets (France, Iberia, Benelux).
- Prior exposure to implementation/onboarding playbooks a plus.
- Prior exposure to travel industry.
WHY PLIANT
- High impact: you'll help define where the line sits between commercial and Solution Engineering, not just work inside an existing playbook.
- Direct access: this role will collaborate closely with Sales leadership (Commercial VPs & Heads of regions) and Solution Engineering's Head.
- Hybrid model: We have offices in Berlin/London/Paris/Lisbon and appreciate strong collaboration as we set up the right structure with the team.
WHAT WE OFFER
- The opportunity to work in a growing team with big responsibilities that thrives on a strong exchange of knowledge and excellence.
- Attractive remuneration.
- Your choice of preferred OS, Windows or Mac.
- Flat hierarchy and transparent communication in a relaxed, professional atmosphere.
- Opportunity to develop your talent in a dynamic team with ambitious goals.
- Flexibility and possibility to work remotely.
- Company card with a monthly allowance for lunches, coffee, etc. with co-workers.
