The Role: We are seeking a commercially-minded Systems Engineer with an Aerospace & Defence background to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will navigate the full systems engineering life cycle, bridging the gap between technical complexity and business objectives across a diverse portfolio of projects. Due to the nature of project work we require candidates to hold U.K. nationality or to either have, or be able to go through, U.K. national security vetting and clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Develop and maintain high-level architectures, requirements, and MBSE models. Lead design trade studies and performance modeling for complex systems.
- Technical Leadership: Act as the primary technical interface for customers. Own the technical decision-making process. Build cross-functional teams and lead technical programs from concept to delivery.
- Strategic Growth: Partner with Business Development to capture new opportunities and cultivate "trusted advisor" relationships with key clients.
- Operational Integration: Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain partners to ensure seamless transitions from design to production.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering.
- Experience: 8+ years in Systems Engineering with a proven track record in electronic product development (Analog, Digital, or Software).
- Tooling: Proficiency in SysML, trade studies, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
