Director of Venture Payments | Remote | Europe / South America
Plexus has partnered with an innovative blockchain infrastructure company launching a new crypto payments venture, and we're looking for a Director of Venture Payments to lead the initiative from 0-to-1.
This is an opportunity for an experienced crypto payments leader to turn blockchain technology into real-world financial products, with a focus on stablecoin-powered cross-border payments, B2B payouts, merchant settlement and remittances.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the 0-to-1 development and launch of a new crypto payments venture
- Define product strategy and roadmap across stablecoin-powered payment products
- Own commercial traction, including partnerships, distribution, customer acquisition and revenue growth
- Build and lead a dedicated product‑engineering team
- Navigate payment operations, FX, liquidity, treasury, settlement and compliance
- Build relationships across the crypto payments and financial services ecosystem
Key Requirements
- Proven experience building and launching live stablecoin payment products
- Strong background in crypto-based cross‑border payments, B2B payouts or merchant settlement
- 3+ years in payments, remittances or fintech, with close to 3 years in crypto
- Strong understanding of Bitcoin and EVM ecosystems
- Experience owning product development from concept through launch, alongside commercial targets and partnerships
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ideally with experience at an early‑stage crypto payments company
Nice to have:
- Experience as an early employee, founding team member or number two at a crypto payments startup
- Experience building payment products for emerging markets or international payment corridors
- Experience with agentic payments, AI‑driven transactions or programmable money
- Strong network across stablecoin infrastructure, payment providers, fintechs and financial institutions
- Opportunity to lead a new payments venture from 0-to-1
