At Plexus Livingston, quality starts the moment material arrives at our doors. We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Inspector to serve as our first line of defense. In this role, you will ensure that every component coming in from a supplier meets our rigorous standards of excellence. The Role

As a Receiving Inspector, you are responsible for verifying the quality of inbound materials. By identifying non-conforming parts early, you prevent defective products from reaching the production line, saving time and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Precision Inspection: Execute routine visual checks and functional tests using tools like calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and inspection jigs.
• Blueprint Verification: Check dimensions of parts against technical drawings and specifications.
• Material Control: Identify and segregate non-conforming or discrepant material and support internal screening activities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Supplier Quality Team, Engineers, and Buyers to resolve quality or documentation issues.
• Data Accuracy: Accurately record all inspection data and maintain essential quality documentation.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a disciplined professional who values accuracy above all else.

• Education: High School diploma (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience: While less than a year of experience is required, 1+ years in a manufacturing or inspection environment is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and the ability to use precision measurement tools.
• Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for spotting discrepancies in complex components.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, nights, or weekends as needed to meet production demands.
• Communication: Ability to keep supervisors informed and escalate quality issues effectively.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role is active and hands-on within our electro-mechanical manufacturing facility. You should be prepared for:

• Physical Stamina: Alternating between sitting, standing, and walking for long periods.
• Strength: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 45 pounds.
• Dexterity: Fine motor control for handling delicate tools and precise measurement equipment.
• Vision: Acute near vision for detailed inspection using magnifiers and camera systems.
