This position is essential for ensuring that products continue to perform optimally long after they’ve left the production floor, extending their lifecycle and maximizing their value to our customers.

As the Director of Technology – Sustaining Services, you’ll drive transformative advancements in repair, refurbishment, product lifecycle extension, and distribution management. This position is essential for ensuring that products continue to perform optimally long after they’ve left the production floor, extending their lifecycle and maximizing their value to our customers.
In this role, you’ll work to develop and deploy robust technologies that streamline aftermarket processes, ensuring repair and refurbishment operations are efficient, responsive, and scalable. You’ll be at the forefront of crafting solutions that enhance product longevity and reliability, using data-driven insights and cutting-edge tools to extend product lifecycles and keep our customers satisfied.

Key Responsibilities
Visionary Leadership and Strategic Transformation: Craft a compelling vision of the future, rallying stakeholder enthusiasm to transform operational processes by blending site-specific insights, customer feedback, and pioneering advancements. Engage global, regional leaders and all levels of the organization in a shared vision that encapsulates not only the strategic direction but also the cultural shifts necessary to embrace new ways of working. Lead large-scale change initiatives with a clear roadmap, adjusting strategies as necessary to respond to dynamic operational needs .
Resource Optimization and Impactful Execution: Champion resource and budget management for innovating, validating and implementing impactful changes that drive efficiency within operational frameworks. Oversee resource allocation to ensure optimal use of assets and personnel, balancing budget constraints with the need for advanced tools and technologies. Implement rigorous evaluation processes to measure the efficacy and impact of changes, driving continuous improvements based on data-driven insights.
Influential Leadership and Decision Facilitation: Lead with a charismatic touch, building alignment among cross-functional teams and stakeholders to foster swift decision-making and implementation of strategic initiatives. Act as a catalyst for change, using persuasive communication and deep understanding of organizational dynamics to overcome resistance and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Facilitate effective decision-making forums that encourage open dialogue and rapid resolution of challenges.
Pioneering Innovation and Technology Life Cycle Management: Ignite and guide scalable technology deployments with a spirit of curiosity, overseeing the entire lifecycle from ideation through deployment and thoughtful retirement. Stay ahead of the curve to continuously fuel innovation by fostering partnerships with disruptive technologies, universities, and industry leaders. Develop a structured approach to technology management that includes regular reviews, updates, and strategic alignment with overall business goals, ensuring that technological investments deliver sustained value.
Collaborative Engagement: Create dynamic and effective collaborations with internal and external partners, weaving together diverse insights into a unified and transformative operational strategy. Develop strategic alliances with key industry players, academic institutions and other external partners to bring fresh perspectives and expertise into the organization. Facilitate workshops and regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure ongoing communication, alignment, and commitment to project goals. Promote a culture of transparency and mutual respect, which is fundamental to successful collaboration.

Qualifications
Educational Background: Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience.
Experience: Proven experience in leading operational transformation initiatives, with a track record of delivering value and driving process improvements. Significant experience with automation technologies.
Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership capabilities, proven to navigate complex environments and inspire teams across functions with a positive, energetic approach.
Collaboration: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, adept at building strategic relationships and fostering teamwork across diverse groups.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a curiosity-driven approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and manage change effectively.
Project Management: Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting and accountability for cost, schedule, and execution.
