Role
Plexus is seeking a talented and driven Senior Test Design Engineer or above, to lead our growing team in the UK. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and commercialization of our innovative products, from concept to launch. As a Senior Test Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and verification of test solutions for our products. You will utilize your engineering expertise and creativity to create robust and efficient test systems, ensuring the highest quality and reliability of our products.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative test concepts and designs using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Perform design creation, analysis, and verification.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the entire product life cycle, from conceptualisation to sustaining engineering.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation in accordance with quality and change management procedures.
- Actively contribute to a Lean culture by applying Lean Sigma principles to identify and eliminate waste, and improve processes.
Due to the nature of project work we require candidates to hold U.K. nationality or to either have, or be able to go through, U.K. national security vetting and clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in test design engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Experience with automated test systems, functional testing, and environmental testing.
- Solid understanding of Lean Sigma principles and tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.

- Ability to work in a cross‑discipline team environment.
- Understand structured design.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with team members and customers.
- Experience with lab test/measurement equipment and lab tools.
