THE ROLE

  • Reporting to the Head of Marketing
  • Office based in Great Chesterford, Essex: within an easy commutable distance. Hybrid working potential but 3 days to be in the office

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Campaigns
  • Support the planning, creation and implementation of targeted campaigns to meet the marketing and business objectives.
  • Measurement and improvement of campaign ROI, including the use of CRM Hub Spot.
  • Create tracked & SEO optimised landing pages using Hub Spot or Word Press for strategic campaigns.
  • Contacts
  • Work with the Head of Marketing with strategic contact building in the CRM, Hub Spot, to meet lead generation targets.
  • Implement contact building using prospecting tool, data gathering at events and gated content online.
  • Assist with research into the behaviours of target clients, to allow better strategic targeting of messaging and Plextek brand awareness.
  • Content
  • Content Creation: Write clear, persuasive, and engaging copy across multiple formats, including websites, email campaigns and social media.
  • Create a calendar of technical content aimed at our target audience.
  • Work with internal teams to extract the most engaging case studies for use online and in proposals.
  • Provide Sales Team support with written content, such as proposals and presentations.
  • Manage effective content distribution for lead generation.
  • Website
  • Management and optimisation of the Plextek and IEX websites, including content building and SEO.
  • Work with the Graphic Designer to create engaging content which is consistently branded across all channels.
  • Work with website agency to maintain security, plugins and Hub Spot connectivity.
  • Social Media
  • Creating engaging but technical posts, working with Project Managers and Technical Leads for content and topics. Interpret technical content into effective messaging.
  • Social media SEO. Measure results and optimise.
  • Scheduling – optimise for target audience, continuous improvement using data.
  • Email Marketing
  • Manage the creation of email campaigns using Hub Spot, using email templates and basic HTML for lead generation.
  • Work with the Graphic Designer to create compelling designs.
  • Manage the scheduling, reporting and automating emails as required.
  • Any other tasks required to support the Marketing & Sales teams in the running of successful marketing activities.
  • THE PERSON
  • CIM qualifications completed or in progress.
  • Digital and/or social media marketing management experience in a B2B organisation.
  • Proven track record of implementing effective lead generation campaigns.
  • Experience of SEO for effective global content distribution.
  • Demonstrable leadership qualities and influencing of internal stakeholders.
  • Well organised, with good attention to detail, and with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Enthusiasm and perseverance, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Forward-thinking, looking for ways to improve current ways of working and suggest new initiatives.
  • Diligent attitude with the determination to see things through to completion.
  • Willing to get stuck in with hands‑on work as well as planning and analysis of results.
  • Adaptable and willing to research and learn new skills.
  • COMPETENCIES
  • Digital Media Analytics, including GA4.
  • Social Media content creation for B2B.
  • Highly advantageous
  • Hub Spot CRM and Marketing HUB.
  • Word Press or equivalent.
  • SEA/PPC management.
  • You Tube optimisation and publishing.
  • SEO planning tools e. g., Moz, SEM rush.
