THE ROLE
We are currently looking for an Electronics Prototype Technician. The emphasis of this requirement is in the area of RF and general PCB prototyping and surface mount assembly, detailed wiring and general electronics assembly and faultfinding. This is a full-time role within the Product Development and Manufacturing department, office based in Great Chesterford, Essex.
Responsibilities
- General electronics assembly to IPC-A-610 class 3
- Hand soldering of small surface mount devices (0603 and 0402) and PCB rework
- The ability to work with minimum supervision assembling complex prototypes from schematics and drawings
- Good office IT skills to be able to create and maintain records
- Mechanical assembly and wiring skills would be an advantage
The Person
- Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an electronics lab or electronics assembly environment
- Experience of working closely with engineers as part of a project team
- A can-do attitude with a desire to learn new skills
- Contribute to maintaining a busy R&D lab
Applicants will be required to demonstrate their wiring/soldering skills as part of our selection process.
