Plessey are looking for a Shift Equipment Engineer to keep our CMP and wafer bonding machines running smoothly. In this role, you will help maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the equipment that makes wafers flat and bonds them together, which are critical steps that allow our photolithography tools to work correctly. You will work closely with process engineers to make sure the machines perform reliably and support the production of high-quality microLED displays. These roles will be based in a clean-room environment, and will be on a rotating shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off. These will consist of 2 day shifts (7am - 7pm) and 2 night shifts (7pm - 7am).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repair of a wide spectrum of semiconductor electronic equipment
- Perform equipment qualification to ensure tools meet performance and safety requirements
- Serve as an active member of the site Emergency Response Team
- Ensure all work is completed in line with defined quality, safety, and cleanroom standards
- Provide full support for critical equipment areas
