Navig8 is seeking a Commercial Analyst who can undertake a variety of tasks and projects to support the Commercial and Operations teams. On the day to day, you will be delivering analytical insights, monitoring vessel PnL’s and preparing information relating to market performance and analysis for internal and external customer use. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly graduated, detail-focused and analytically orientated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to progress further within the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyse fleet performance through Excel, SQL and BI Software to provide meaningful and informative insights.
- Monitor PnL of vessels ensuring accurate results.
- Maintain relationships with current clients by answering any queries and producing vessel earning reports and market commentaries.
- Liaise with senior management to develop models and forecasts supporting business initiatives and projects.
- Work with Chartering, Operations and Claims teams to help answer queries and resolve issues.
- Work alongside the Projects team to evaluate prospective vessels supporting new business opportunities.
- Construct detailed presentations for potential and existing clients for the Commercial team to use.
- Improve internal reports, dashboards and databases that aid commercial decision making.
- 2.1 minimum in any degree
- A minimum of 1-year of analytical experience.
- Some prior shipping knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Business Intelligence Software and database experience desirable but not essential (Power BI, SQL or Python).
