Reporting directly to the Board, the Product Director will play a senior leadership role in shaping and executing this strategy. They will own the evolution and commercial performance of PHMG's existing technical product portfolio, ensuring our offerings are clearly defined, well positioned, and scaled effectively to drive growth, retention, and client lifetime value. Working closely with Technical Service, Design, Sales, Marketing and Operations teams, this role will translate strategic ambition into a focused product vision, operating model, and roadmap, delivering measurable outcomes for both clients and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Own and scale a strategically important product portfolio that supports PHMG's growth ambitions, shaping investment decisions and delivering measurable commercial impact as the business expands into new markets. Own and evolve the PHMG product vision and long‑term strategy for existing products and services. Identify opportunities to enhance value, differentiation, and scalability across the portfolio. Translate company objectives and customer needs into actionable product strategies and roadmaps. Define success metrics and ensure products are aligned with business and customer outcomes.
  • Operating Model & Structure: Define and evolve PHMG's product operating model, including integration, structure and governance. Build a scalable product organisation aligned to PHMG's growth ambitions.
  • Product Execution & Optimization: Lead the continuous improvement of existing products through data-driven insights, customer feedback, and market analysis. Prioritise initiatives that drive adoption, retention, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. Oversee roadmap planning, backlog prioritisation, and delivery across multiple product teams. Balance incremental improvements with larger strategic bets and innovation initiatives.
  • Customer & Market Insight: Deeply understand customer needs, pain points, and usage patterns to inform product decisions. Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Validate opportunities through research, experimentation, and metrics.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to deliver cohesive product experiences. Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress to executives and key stakeholders. Align teams around priorities, trade‑offs, and timelines.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop product managers and product leaders. Establish best practices for product discovery, delivery, and lifecycle management. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Performance & Accountability: Own product KPIs and ensure outcomes are tracked, reviewed, and improved over time. Use data and experimentation to guide decisions and measure impact. Identify risks and proactively adjust strategy as needed.

What You Will Need

  • Proven track record of success scaling, optimising, or revitalising existing products or platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in senior commercial roles, driving revenue growth and market expansion through effective B2B sales and marketing plans.
  • High level of commercial acumen and ability to analyse complex data.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends, skilled in identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with new technology product development.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud-based Telephony, Communications, AI, Managed Services, VoIP.
  • Client‑centric focus with highly developed understanding of how to assess client needs and preferences.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience developing and managing strategic partnerships with providers and stakeholders.
  • Experience of the North American market is preferable.
