Your Impact
As our Underwriting Ratings Manager, you'll be the driving force behind D&G's rating strategy, ensuring our rates are accurate, effective, and aligned with business and regulatory expectations. You'll lead a high‐performing team, strengthen our rating governance, and shape the frameworks and tools that power our UK and ROI underwriting operations. This is a role where your expertise will directly influence business performance, customer outcomes, and the evolution of our underwriting function.
What You'll Lead
- Managing and developing a team of Rating Analysts.
- Delivering accurate, timely rating processes for new business and renewals across multiple regions.
- Partnering with UK, EU, and US teams to set and refine ratings for OEM and retail clients.
- Owning incident management for rating defects, from triage to prevention.
- Overseeing rating platform operations and migrations to ensure seamless performance.
- Driving automation, optimisation, and continuous improvement across rating systems and processes.
- Governing change control, testing, and release sign‐off with a strong focus on auditability and compliance.
What You Bring
- Experience with underwriting rating systems, pricing platforms, or database‐driven environments.
- Strong knowledge of systems such as AS400, Ratabase, or WIMA.
- Data analysis skills using SQL and Power BI.
- Confident communication and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Excellent prioritisation and time‐management skills.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing talent.
