As a First Line Assurance Tester, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding our operations and transformation activities by providing independent assurance that controls are designed and operating effectively.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide range of operational and change initiatives, helping ensure risks are identified, managed and mitigated, while supporting the safe delivery of change and protecting customer outcomes.
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of risk, controls and assurance, who can work confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Experience in assurance, risk management, controls testing, audit or operational risk environments.
- Knowledge of operational risk, change risk and resilience frameworks.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to assess complex information.
- Experience reviewing controls, processes or change initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer outcomes.
The Role
As a First Line Assurance Tester, you’ll provide assurance across operational processes, projects and change initiatives, validating that controls and risk actions are effective and delivering the intended outcomes.
- Conducting assurance and testing activities across operational and change programmes.
- Validating controls, risk actions and risk assessments to ensure effectiveness.
- Performing scenario-based testing and implementation reviews to assess expected outcomes.
- Supporting assurance activities before, during and after change delivery, including early life support reviews.
- Identifying potential risks and unintended consequences that could impact customers or business performance.
- Producing clear reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Participating in governance forums, risk committees and assurance reviews.
- Building strong relationships across Operations, Transformation, Risk and Compliance teams.
