Playwire Media is a full-service digital innovation partner specializing in online advertising and proprietary technologies to elevate publishing brands. As Playwire continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking a Director of Business Development to serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for their designated book of business. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities to drive success for publishers through Playwire's product suite. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the publisher sales cycle, excel in communicating with key stakeholders, and actively represent Playwire at industry events.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee and execute the complete publisher sales cycle, from prospecting to successfully closing new partnerships.
- Confidently articulate the Playwire value proposition to key decision-makers, including C-level executives, building trust and alignment.
- Attend industry events and embody the Playwire brand externally, establishing a strong presence and fostering valuable industry relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches and deliver results that exceed customer satisfaction, positioning partnerships for long-term success.

- In-depth knowledge of full-stack programmatic advertising solutions across desktop, mobile, and video, including OTT.
- Demonstrated relationships within the ad tech ecosystem, including publishers, SSPs, and DSPs, facilitating effective collaboration.
- Strong verbal, written, and formal storytelling/presentation skills, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets, demonstrating a results-oriented approach.
- Experience in negotiating and closing 7-8 figure deals, showcasing strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
