Role overview: The Senior Associate Trading Manager operates within the Trading team, part of the Subscriptions Growth directorate. The Trading team leads all in-month performance reporting, delivering weekly updates with outlook projections and clear, coherent narratives on the factors influencing PlayStation Plus growth. The team’s primary objective is to keep the wider Services organisation and senior leadership informed of performance trends, enabling dynamic, data-driven decision making to achieve growth and revenue targets. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to gain a detailed understanding of PlayStation Plus performance and the wider PlayStation business. The successful candidate will support the wider Trading team, with a specific remit for ad-hoc analysis and deep-dive summaries on key topics. Ultimately, the purpose of this role is to strengthen the business’ understanding of the key drivers influencing PS Plus performance, uncovering trends and opportunities to help guide commercial strategy. The role requires close collaboration across the PlayStation Plus business, working with commercial colleagues, planning and insights teams, and content and engagement stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the delivery of in-month and weekly PlayStation Plus performance reporting, including clear narratives and outlook projections.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deep-dive investigations into specific performance topics, initiatives, or trends.
- Identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities impacting PS Plus performance and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Build, interpret, and communicate performance reporting to support trading and commercial decision making.
- Contribute to a broader understanding of subscription performance trends across the PlayStation Plus business.
- Collaborate with commercial, planning, insights, content, and engagement teams to deepen understanding of how activity and content impact performance.
- Provide analytical support to the wider Trading and Subscriptions Growth teams.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ (or equivalent) experience in an analytical or commercial role.
- Strong analytical capability with a natural ability to solve problems and uncover insights.
- Solid commercial acumen, with understanding of the factors that drive growth in a subscription business.
- Strong MS Excel skills, with proven ability to build, interpret, and communicate performance reporting.
- Ability to translate data into clear insights and summaries for a range of stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills, with confidence working across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
