We’re looking for a strong Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes, AWS, and DevOps/GitOps tooling. This role sits within our Data Platform Services team and focuses on building scalable platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to deliver quickly and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and support Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and containerised workloads.
- Deliver and enhance internal self-serve platform capabilities (e.g., Airflow, CI/CD, observability tools).
- Improve platform automation, deployment workflows, and onboarding experience for internal teams.
- Develop and maintain GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD.
- Troubleshoot platform issues across AWS, Kubernetes, networking, and CI pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration with platform services.
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, ideally including EKS.
- Solid background with AWS core services (IAM, VPC, networking, compute).
- Experience supporting production systems and modern DevOps/SRE practices.
- Proficient with command line tooling, IaC tooling (Terraform), Linux, and development workflows.
- Familiarity with Airflow or other workflow orchestration systems.
- Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- CNCF certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS).
- Experience with observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana).
- Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Prior platform engineering or SRE team experience.
