Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity. PlayStation Studios is seeking a General Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be accountable for the overall business strategy and success of the game. You will make key decisions on strategic, financial, operational, and organizational matters for the game and work to ensure its continued growth and success.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the operational management, and growth of an interactive digital entertainment game, with a main focus on the day‐to‐day running of the business and support functions but not involving the direct management of the development and production side of the business.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Own end‐to‐end accountability for the product's business performance, including financial results, operational outcomes, and long‐term sustainability.
  • Define success metrics, establish clear performance reporting and review rhythms, and translate results and learnings into informed adjustments to strategy, investment, and operating plans.
  • Ensure close alignment within the studio by building key rituals and working relationships across the wider studio organization, the global publisher, parent company, and central teams.
  • Develop and manage the annual calendar and rhythm of the business, including strategic planning, financial cycles, key stakeholder communications, and decision forums, while aligning long‐term strategy, annual objectives, and project timelines.
  • Partner with cross‐functional leaders from game development and publishing to set a unified vision and mid‐term strategy for the game to deliver on the growth ambition of the product.
  • Effectively communicate priorities and goals, rallying functional leaders around an aligned strategy, while proactively resolving and adjusting priorities to meet key objectives.
  • Lead and guide key internal and external stakeholders across publishing, including Marketing, Sales, and PR, and central publishing groups.
  • Develop and embed the organizational model by setting up core processes, organizational design, defining key capabilities, and more to ensure the business is run smoothly.
Experience:
  • 15+ years' experience in general management, including business strategy, organizational design/transformation, HR, financial management and reporting, facility management.
  • Multiple years' experience leading a mid‐size studio, game, or publisher.
  • Experience in an Executive Producer or General Manager role for a game is strongly desired.
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross‐discipline teams in game development and/or publishing.
  • A strong connector to be able to understand what drives employees in the studio, resolve conflicts and facilitate difficult discussions at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to navigate the complexities of multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy to build trusted relationships across the organization.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual problem‐solving skills to simplify and resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Willing to do hands‐on work when needed.
  • Master's degree in Business/Economics, Finance or Human resources (post‐graduate).
