Role Overview: The Finance Business Partnering & Planning (BP&P) team are part of a vibrant organisation that brings together staff from around the world, with a passion for engaging PlayStation gamers with relevant and entertaining content. The (BP&P) team will look to drive accountability for business results through empowering leadership with data & intelligence, implementing KPI (Key Performance Indicators) frameworks linked to our goals and accurate forecasting & planning.

We are looking for individuals who are motivated by being part of a truly global team, working together at the forefront of digital content distribution. Reporting to the Senior Manager, PlayStation Store the Senior Finance Analyst will be part of a small team responsible for Planning & Forecasting PlayStation’s Digital Store revenue and enabling key Commercial initiatives. They will leverage Machine Learning forecasting models and AI to deliver business insight and recommendations, identify risks/opportunities, improve forecasting accuracy and explainability and support commercial initiatives. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and flexible team player with a strong analytical mind; an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for planning and analysis of a major section of the customer base of the PlayStation Digital Store, analysing sales trends, identifying risks and opportunities and supporting decision making for these customers.
  • Partnering with Data Science teams to refine Machine Learning models/methodologies to enhance accuracy and explainability.
  • Working with IT teams to evolve and enhance the Digital Sales Planning tool.
  • Collaborating with the Software Forecasting Centre of Excellence on methodologies, approach and alignment of forecasts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, collaborating with stakeholders to drive insightful data-informed analysis/conversations.
  • Execute on critical business analytics requests in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Communicate forecasts, findings, recommendations and insights effectively to senior Business and Finance stakeholders through presentations and meetings.
  • Identify and define KPIs/ standard metrics, and recommend long-term plans which align with business needs.
  • Effective stakeholder management, with the ability to engage, communicate and develop consensus with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvement of processes/ways of working.
  • Supporting the business to drive revenue and profit optimisation initiatives through business casing and post implementation reviews (when required).

This role supports a global team, so a flexible approach to working hours to support business operations is required.

What we are looking for:

  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified with 5+ years relevant PQE in a commercial role.
  • Revenue Forecasting experience essential.
  • Senior level business partner experience ideally at board or global level.
  • Highly proficient using Excel/PowerPoint/AI tools.
  • Organised self-starter, with the ability to deliver under pressure, and is capable of confidently working alongside the senior stakeholders across the wider business.
  • Familiar with Global and matrix ways of working with an ability to balance/ prioritise multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Planning systems e.g. Anaplan desirable.
  • Experience with Visualisation tools such as Domo, Qlikview, PowerBI desirable.
