Provision of desktop support services to gaming developersSupport team for all desktop hardware and software support. This is a clientâfacing role within Worldwide Studios Europe to include the following primary responsibilities:
Manage IT support services for game development specialists
Management of an active service desk and monitoring and management of task allocation and completion within agreed SLAs
Management of all aspects of dayâday IT desktop support (workstations, cabling, telephony, software)
Oversee and manage major desktop projects (workstations, upgrades, software changes, staff moves)
Installation and configuration of hardware & software
Management and teaching IT skills to an apprentice
Establishing and maintaining working relationships with the Development Studio
Monitoring and control of IT service SLAs
Staff management and resourcing for desktop support
What you\âll be doing
Responsible for desktop security and asset management control
Management and distribution of IT peripherals
Optimise desktop performance
Participate in hardware and software product selection
Ensure that the support team is fully conversant with IT and information security policy and guidance
Ensure that the provision of services is compliant with current security policies
What we\âre looking for
Good experience in a handsâon support role
Experience in desktop support, software support and infrastructure
Establishing, managing and monitoring support processes for a highâavailability, highâcapacity site
Workstation and desktop planning and management
Managing a service desk
Detailed desktop operating system knowledge/experience including Linux, macOS and Windows
Strong knowledge of desktop hardware
Infrastructure knowledge/experience (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Mac networking)
Knowledge and experience of the gaming industry and/or working in a creative industry is desirable
An ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
Flexible, personable, clientâfocused and problemâsolving mentality
ITIL Foundation preferable but not essential
