Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and Landscape/Maintenance Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with hands-on experience in gardening and plant care. This role involves maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of various gardens and landscapes, ensuring that all plants thrive in their environment. As part of the role you will also undertake new landscaping projects; turfing, shrub planting, tree planting with the opportunity to learn new hard landscaping skills including specialist surfacing for those who want to learn a new skill.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain gardens, including planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting as necessary.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Assist in landscape maintenance, including lawn care, mulching, and seasonal clean-ups.
- Collaborate with team members to install new planting schemes or garden layouts.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools such as spades, rakes, and hoes for effective gardening practices.
- Experience with small plant including rotovators, pedestrian mowers, leaf blowers, hedge cutters.
- Familiarity with power tools used in landscaping tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Ability to perform landscape maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to quality standards.
