Premier Education are working collaboratively with primary schools to deliver exceptional before and after school care that is innovative, inspiring and above all, a safe environment for all children in our care. Your role will be to provide activities in a safe, secure and fun environment, and providing an outstanding service for busy parents.
Premier Education successfully runs full Wraparound provision in primary schools across the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area. Our Premier Wraparound centres are Ofsted registered and provide high quality out of school care for parents. With this in mind we are looking for an outstanding applicant with experience to lead one of our new venues. Care will be available after-school every Monday to Friday in term time only. There is also the possibility of involvement with other clubs running during school holidays.
Responsibilities
- Organised, enthusiastic, well-motivated individual who enjoys working with children and takes pride in their work.
- Lead the venue: be reliable, good at time keeping, confident dealing with parent questions and payment queries, able to deliver to children, and manage a small team of staff.
- Be calm and willing to undertake any training relevant to the post, including first aid and food hygiene.
- Organise places for children, ensure fees are paid, direct staff, and provide a stimulating and safe environment for all attending children.
- Liaise with members of the school's Senior Leadership Team and the Governing Body regarding the new provision.
- Ensure wrap around care runs to a high standard and reflects the school’s ethos.
- Plan activities to support and engage children before and after school.
- Provide a range of activities for the children to participate in during each session, both inside and out; plan and prepare these activities.
- Oversee the weekly activities timetable and menus and communicate these to parents and the school.
- Run regular stock takes to ensure equipment is up to standard and replenished.
- Ensure the ingredients required to provide healthy and nutritional snacks are ordered and prepared each day.
- Facilitate homework time during sessions; applicants must have achieved the equivalent of a Grade C or higher in English and Mathematics at GCSE level.
- Reply to emails and calls from parents.
- Ensure all first aid/incidents are reported and logged on site.
- Support CPD training for other staff members and devise the termly activity timetable.
- Ensure daily registers are completed and stored on site.
- Report back to the Wrap Around Care Manager on a daily/weekly basis.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in a childcare environment is preferred.
- GCSE Grade C or higher in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
