Channel Coordinator (Road Cycling & GCN en français)
Are you passionate about cycling, digital media and growing online communities? Do you want to play a key role in shaping content watched by millions of cycling fans around the world?
We're looking for a Channel Coordinator to join our Audience Development team and take ownership of the day-to-day running of GCN en français , helping us grow and engage one of the most passionate cycling communities online. Therefore, your French language speaking and writing must be fluent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within one of the world's leading sports media companies. You'll work closely with our creative, production, design and commercial teams, learning from experienced colleagues while making a real impact on our content strategy and audience growth.
Although your primary focus will be GCN en français , you'll also have the opportunity to work across our wider road cycling and triathlon network, including our flagship English-language GCN channel. If you speak additional languages such as Spanish, Italian or German, you'll have the chance to support our other channels too.
You don't need to be a cycling expert from day one. We're looking for someone with genuine enthusiasm for the sport, strong digital instincts, excellent organisational skills and the curiosity to continually learn about cycling, technology and the ever-changing social media landscape.
Based in our Bath office, you'll report to the Director of Pro Cycling and become part of a collaborative, ambitious and supportive team. We work a hybrid pattern of four days a week in the office, so you'll need to live locally or be willing to relocate.
About The Role
As a Channel Coordinator, you'll become an expert in our content, our audience and the platforms we publish on. You'll be responsible for publishing and optimising videos, analysing performance, experimenting with new platform features and helping shape strategies that grow our audience across YouTube and social media.
No two days are the same. One day you might be launching coverage from the Tour de France, the next you'll be analysing audience data, testing new publishing strategies or collaborating with our production team to maximise the impact of a major video release.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership and loves using data and creativity together to drive results. This role offers plenty of scope to develop new skills and grow your career within Play Sports Network.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of GCN en français, driving audience growth and community engagement.
- Support GCN (English) and other channels as required.
- Provide cross-channel support during peak periods and colleague holidays.
- Publish engaging, high-quality content across YouTube and other social media platforms.
- Optimise titles, descriptions, thumbnails, keywords and metadata to maximise performance.
- Monitor channel performance and identify opportunities for growth through analysis and experimentation.
- Stay up to date with platform developments, audience trends and emerging best practice.
- Assist in planning and maintaining content programming calendars.
- Produce regular analytics reports and performance updates.
- Work closely with our production, design and commercial teams to ensure content is delivered effectively.
- Support internal reporting processes accurately and on time.
- Contribute to wider company projects when required.
- Weekend and occasional out-of-hours working will be required during key races and major cycling events.
What we're looking for
- Fluent written and spoken French and English.
- Additional fluency in Spanish, Italian or German would be helpful.
- A genuine interest in cycling and enthusiasm for learning about the sport, equipment and technology.
- Experience using social media platforms personally, with professional experience an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical, curious and proactive, with a willingness to test new ideas.
- Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and a positive sense of humour.
- Willingness to complete YouTube Certification as part of the role.
- Able to work from our Bath office four days per week, with relocation if required.
