A fantastic opportunity has arisen for conscientious and enthusiastic HGV Class 1 drivers to join our experienced and friendly team who have achieved ‘Green-Green’ status with the Driver and Vehicles Standards Agency (DVSA).
About the Role
We are looking for both a full-time and casual drivers to work with our fleet of up to date and well-maintained commercial vehicles including articulated moving floor trailers and rigid flat-deck lorries. These roles will suit qualified and experienced HGV Class 1 drivers who have the self-motivation and dedication to thrive in our expanding general haulage operation.
The full-time role will work Monday to Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week with nights out as required. Casual drivers will work on an ad hoc basis (Monday to Friday) to cover absences with nights out as required. As one of our drivers you will be delivering all the way from the Orkney Isles, to Plymouth, Cork to Colchester, you’ll get to see the very best scenery the UK and Ireland have to offer

Your Responsibilities
- Safely operate a HGV Class 1 Vehicle to collect and transport good and products across the UK and Ireland
- Load and unload using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Adhere to all Tachograph, Driver and Road Regulations
- Complete all relevant customer paperwork
- Effective communication with planning team and customers
- Complete pre and post trip vehicle inspections
What we are looking for
- Full, clean HGV C+E Class 1 licence
- Good working knowledge of Tachograph and WTD rules
- Experience in a similar role
- A digital tachograph card and full CPC
- Able to work nights out during the week, as required
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Ability to work in line with high health and safety standards
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Previous experience of working in general haulage, of using walking floors and securing unusual loads is desirable.
