Join our Sales Team at Platts Agriculture as a Telesales Executive! We are looking for a Part-Time (3 days per week), or Full-Time (5 days per week), Telesales Executive to join our Sales team.

What We Offer: You’ll be working within a small but impactful sales team in a Family-Run business. Our Telesales Executive will make inbound and outbound calls to make sales for Platts Agriculture, using your persuasion skills to sell, upsell and cross-sell our products and services. This role extends beyond the office, offering opportunities to attend trade shows and events across the UK. You’ll represent the business, meeting customers, generating new leads, and helping to drive business growth through face-to-face engagement. £12.71 per hour, with further bonus opportunities. Paid CSR day annually. 28 days leave including Bank Holidays. Company Pension. On-site parking. Operating on weekdays (Monday to Friday).
Your Role and Responsibilities: Are you someone who loves building relationships over the telephone? Are you target driven and thrive in achieving goals? Your journey with Platts will begin with full training, where you’ll learn how to use our call management system and customer relationships management system. You’ll be shown how to handle a variety of calls and enquiries across all of the products and services we offer.
- Develop relationships with current, prospective and previous customers via telephone and email.
- Represent the company as the point of contact between customer and company.
- Maintain the company CRM system keeping data up-to-date and accurate.
- Process customer orders using Sage.
- Support and drive sales campaigns.
- Maintain customer accounts by checking credit control details prior to processing new customer orders.
- Respond to new enquiries by following up with call, telephone and direct post.
- Represent the business at trade shows (where required).
- Liaise with internal departments including production, transport and accounts regarding stock availability, booking in of customer orders and accounts to process customer payments.
- Communicate trends and information to management team through daily reports to drive marketing campaigns and maintain current and accurate market information.
- Attend training where opportunities arise to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships, with colleagues, managers, customers and the public.
What We’re Looking For: Although we welcome call taking experience, this is not required. What we’re looking for is an enthusiastic and resilient person to effectively make inbound and outbound high-volume calls.
