Platter Up is a growing corporate catering company based in Bethnal Green, delivering high-quality food and exceptional service across London events and corporate catering. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Kitchen/Catering Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong chef/manager who is ready to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy catering kitchen while remaining actively involved in food preparation, service delivery and the development of the business.
The Role:
- Managing the daily operation of the kitchen, leading and motivating the kitchen team, cooking and preparing high-quality fresh food.
- Responsible for maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards, stock control, rota, ordering and supplier management, and assisting with menu planning and event preparation.
- Ensuring smooth kitchen organisation during busy times will be central to the role.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working within a catering company is essential, along with strong cooking skills and a genuine passion for food.
- Experience managing a kitchen team, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- A good understanding of food safety and HACCP procedures is required, as is a reliable, hardworking and proactive attitude.
