Platinum Travel Recruitment are collaborating with a fabulous and forward thinking travel company who are now seeking an experienced Commercial & Creative Travel Consultant.

This exciting role is ideal for a creative marketing, product, operations and/or commercial travel professional seeking their next step in their career.

Each day will not be the same, the ideal Commercial & Creative Travel Consultant shall be contributing towards the delivery of a distinctive collection of small group tours combining commercial input, creative product development and operational administration.

This will be to ensure the travel programme delivers memorable travel experiences, supports our commitment to people and planet, and contributes significantly to company growth.

  • Commercial & Creative Travel Consultant
  • Create a captivating web page for each group tour and working with the marketing team, ensure our group tours are optimised across the website.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the operation of our group tours.
  • Pre-sale and post-sale administration of group departures.
  • Work closely with Travel Experts and Travel Services Coordinators to ensure seamless delivery of group bookings.
  • Partner with the marketing team to maximise awareness and performance of the groups travel collection.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and Tour Experts.
  • Costing of group tours.
  • Yield management – in conjunction with the Product & Impact Director, monitor and report on performance of the Groups product portfolio including booking trends, conversion, occupancy and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and new group concepts through market trends and competitor analysis.
  • Maintain positive relationship with suppliers.
  • Manage the team of group tour leaders, keeping the database of contracts, images and biographies up to date.
  • Contribute towards the creation a coherent and inspirational collection of group tours.
  • Source and develop compelling experiences, properties and tour leaders.

Commercial & Creative Travel Consultant – Essential Requirements

  • First-hand experience of working in the high-end travel industry, preferably with experience of group tour product development.
  • An appreciation and understanding of sustainability in the context of the travel industry.
  • People skills – ability to forge long-lasting relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Good computer literacy and a willingness to expand your knowledge.
  • Copywriting and close attention to detail.
