About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement of goods, loading and unloading deliveries, manual handling, stock organisation, picking and packing, and general warehouse duties.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who works well as part of a team, follows health and safety procedures, and is comfortable working in a physically demanding warehouse environment.
It also requires someone who is comfortable moving abnormally sized loads on a forklift.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move, load and unload goods.
- Load and unload vehicles and deliveries.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Move and organise stock within the warehouse.
- Carry out manual handling and lifting of goods where required.
- Receive deliveries and check goods against delivery documentation.
- Assist with stock checks and inventory control.
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised.
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Report damaged goods, stock discrepancies or equipment issues to management.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
- Work effectively with colleagues to meet daily operational and dispatch targets.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is essential.
- Valid counterbalance/articulated/telehandler forklift licence is essential.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- A positive, flexible and hardworking attitude.
