About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to join a growing construction contractor based in Peterborough. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work across a variety of construction and property projects. The role will involve working on sites across a 2-hour travel radius from Peterborough, so applicants must be willing and able to commit to regular travel within this patch.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out a range of multi-trade works across construction and refurbishment projects
- General maintenance and repair works including carpentry, basic plumbing, patch plastering, and other associated trades
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within project timeframes
- Maintaining a safe working environment and following all site health & safety procedures
- Liaising with site managers and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery
- Travelling to different sites within the designated patch as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Operative within construction or property maintenance
- Strong skills across a variety of trades (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, general repairs, finishing works)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability and willingness to travel across a 2-hour radius from Peterborough as part of the role
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills and professional approach on site
