Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
- Completing statutory compliance checks and inspections.
- Maintaining fire safety equipment including extinguishers, hydrants and hoses.
- Testing emergency lighting, RCDs and smoke vents.
- Inspecting and maintaining fire doors.
- Completing water temperature testing and flushing in line with risk assessments.
- Supporting maintenance of security systems including CCTV and alarms.
- Recording completed works and remedial tasks using CAFM systems.
- Carrying out general building maintenance tasks as required.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working in a multi-skilled maintenance or facilities environment.
- Knowledge of fire safety systems, emergency lighting or compliance testing.
- Experience with general building maintenance tasks.
- Understanding of water hygiene checks and temperature testing (desirable).
- Experience working with maintenance management systems (CAFM).
- Good IT skills and the ability to complete accurate records.
- The ability to pass prison security clearance checks.
