Managing Director looking for his first finance leader. You will be the No.1 in finance. The MD's passion for Manchester, his colleagues, his business, and his vision is absolutely infectious, so he is looking for a similar energy towards this newly created role and the business.
The MD is an easy-going local who trusts his team to work independently, giving everyone the space they need to fulfil their roles without feeling micromanaged. You will be joining a hugely successful construction SME looking to scale up and bring finance in-house from external sources.
The MD will rely on you for process implementation, systems, MI packs, deadlines, schedules, and everything else, providing a proper opportunity for someone to create a finance function from the ground up. You will be supported along the way and provided with all the tools needed to excel in the role. The MD is open to hearing any suggestions you may have for implementation.
This is a standalone role initially, so you must be comfortable and flexible in handling all aspects of accounting, from invoicing through to management accounts and system implementations. Someone who has worked in an SME in a well-rounded finance role would be the perfect profile.
The budget is flexible, and the MD is open to discussions; however, he prefers someone with construction experience who wants a long-term role to settle into for the foreseeable future.
The offices are brand new, open-plan, modern, and located in the heart of Salford Quays. The whole business is office-based, and it offers a relaxed, collaborative environment with a family feel and a brew run in place. They want you in and around the team, so it suits someone who enjoys being in the office.
If this opportunity sounds right for you and you have construction experience, please send over your full CV, and we can discuss the finer details!
