Practice Accountant Salary: Competetive DOE Location: Manchester – sponsorship unavailable Contract type: Permanent Position Responsibilities Manage and oversee a portfolio of client accounts ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards. Develop strong relationships with clients, addressing their financial queries and providing tailored advice. Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve client service. Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Requirements Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) (Qualified AAT) / At least 2 years of experience in dealing with a client base. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Able to work in the UK without sponsorship Desirable Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA) A strong background in client management – client portfolios ranging from sole traders – SME\’s Experience of managing / mentoring / training junior accountants (desirable but not a necessity) Ideally able to work in office 5 days a week
