Are you an experienced Head Chef from a Contract Catering background looking for a role with sociable hours and no evenings or weekends? This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the food offering within a large office building in Leeds, serving a sizeable workforce in a busy Business & Industry (B&I) environment. You’ll lead a team of three Chefs and oversee a varied food operation, from breakfast and homely main meals to an exciting weekly street food offering.

Key Responsibilities

  • As Head Chef, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen and lead a team of three Chefs.
  • Lead, motivate and support a team of three Chefs
  • Oversee the daily food service within the staff restaurant
  • Deliver a varied offering including breakfast, homely main meals and weekly street food options
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and service
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are consistently maintained
  • Support the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen

What we’re looking for

  • You’ll be an experienced chef with a background in contract catering and the confidence to lead a small team.
  • Previous Head Chef or senior Chef experience
  • Contract Catering experience is essential
  • B&I, education or similar contract catering experience would be ideal
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
