This is an on-site position based in Ashburton. Busy FMCG processing site in Ashburton are on the lookout for NZ's best industrial electricians. We are keen to review applicable CVs for ASAP start. If you meet the below requirements please get in touch!

THE ROLE: INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN

Rotating days & nights. As a member of the in-house maintenance team, you will work to minimize interruptions to production, with the best upkeep of the electrical plant. You will work closely with production using preventative & diagnostic maintenance measures to ensure that electrical engineering issues are resolved in a timely, safe manner & to a high quality.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • Full NZ Licensed Electrician (EWRB)
  • Proficient in electrical standards & regs for industrial environments
  • Minimum 3 years’ industrial electrical experience
  • Experienced with FMCG manufacturing, ideally food
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Knowledge of:
  • Breakdown, diagnostics in time pressured scenario
  • Maintenance planning in FMCG manufacturing
  • Motor start & control equipment - direct drive, soft start & VSDs
  • PLCs, associated sensing and control equipment & SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics highly desirable
  • NZ Work Visa/Residency/Citizenship
