We’re working with a growing, forward-thinking accountancy firm in Manchester that’s looking for a Senior Accountant to join its team.
This is an opportunity for an accountant who wants more than routine compliance . You’ll have your own portfolio of clients, build strong relationships and play a genuine role in helping businesses understand their numbers and make better decisions.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio, including:
- Preparing year-end accounts, tax returns and VAT returns
- Producing management accounts and financial information
- Managing day-to-day client relationships and queries
- Providing practical accounting and tax advice
- Helping clients understand their financial performance
- Identifying opportunities to add value beyond compliance
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver a high-quality service
You won’t simply be processing figures and moving on to the next job. You’ll have real client contact, responsibility and the opportunity to understand the businesses behind the numbers.
About you
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in an accountancy practice environment
- Strong accounts and tax knowledge
- Experience managing client relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, commercial approach
- ACA, ACCA or relevant QBE experience
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, building relationships and finding ways to genuinely help clients.
