Senior Bookkeeper – Manchester | Hybrid

We’re working with a growing, modern accountancy firm in Manchester looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.
You’ll work with a varied portfolio of ambitious agencies, consultants and service-based businesses, combining hands-on bookkeeping with client contact and management reporting.
The Role
- Manage your own portfolio of clients
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Prepare VAT returns and management accounts
- Produce accurate, timely financial reports
- Liaise directly with clients and build strong relationships
- Help clients understand and improve their financial performance
- Support month-end processes and reporting
- Assist with onboarding and support more junior team members
What they’re looking for
- Strong bookkeeping experience, ideally within practice
- Confident with VAT, reconciliations and management accounts
- Experience managing your own client portfolio
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
- Commercial and proactive mindset
- Strong Excel skills
- Xero experience preferred
