The Role
As a Cable Assembler, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality electronic assemblies to customer specifications, ensuring excellent workmanship & attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Assembling PCB & cable assemblies to engineering drawings & work instructions
- Carrying out visual inspections of completed assemblies
- Identifying assembly defects including soldering faults & wiring discrepancies
- Using microscopes, hand tools & measuring equipment
- Reading engineering drawings, schematics & bills of materials
- Recording production & quality documentation accurately
- Working closely with Production, Engineering & Quality teams
- Maintaining high housekeeping & health & safety standards
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this Cable Assembler role in Waterlooville, Hampshire, you’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience assembling PCB or cable assemblies
- Experience within an electronics manufacturing environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings & wiring diagrams
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity & soldering experience
- Experience using inspection equipment such as microscopes (desirable)
- IPC certification or similar (advantageous)
- A positive attitude & strong team-working skills
