We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established business supporting customers across Southampton and the surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for a skilled engineer to work on a varied range of construction and agricultural machinery, with ongoing training and opportunities to develop your career.
The role will involve travelling to customer sites across the area, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs, with workshop-based work when required.
You'll join a supportive team where quality workmanship, customer service and safety are important.

Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction and agricultural plant machinery
- Diagnosing faults across mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites
- Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating these to customers
- Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service
What we're looking for
- Experience as a Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer or similar
- Strong mechanical engineering and fault-finding experience
- Experience working on construction or agricultural machinery
- Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostics
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults independently
- Full UK driving licence
- Engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable
