We're recruiting for a Production Planner to join a well-established manufacturing business in Ringwood. Key Responsibilities
- As the Production Scheduler, you'll be responsible for coordinating work orders and ensuring production plans align with business priorities.
- Create, plan, and route works orders through the manufacturing process
- Generate and maintain production routes within the ERP system
- Review raw material and component requirements
- Release works orders daily in line with capacity and priorities
- Prepare drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Create and review Bill of Materials (BOM) reports
- Identify and correct planning and BOM data errors
- Process engineering change requests
- Support make-or-buy decisions with Engineering and Purchasing
- Communicate production priorities and progress to shop floor teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a production planning or manufacturing planning role
- Experience using MRP or ERP systems within a manufacturing environment
- A good understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOM structures
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Good IT skills, including Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems
- A strong awareness of health and safety practices
