The Role
As a CNC Turner, in New Milton, Hampshire you'll play a key role in manufacturing precision-engineered components to exact customer specifications, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Setting up, operating and maintaining CNC turning machines
- Operating manual lathes and milling machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out in-process inspections and quality checks
- Performing routine machine maintenance
- Working to AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards
- Following health, safety and environmental procedures
- Collaborating with the wider engineering team to achieve production targets
What we're looking for
To be successful in this CNC Turner role, you'll have:
- Proven experience in CNC turning and manual machining
- The ability to confidently read engineering drawings
- Experience producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 or similar quality standards
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Desirable experience includes:
- CNC programming using Fanuc or Siemens controls
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
