Key Responsibilities:
In this varied role, you\’ll lead and deliver engineering projects for marine engines, gearboxes, drives, and auxiliary systems. You\’ll work across yachts, CTVs, ferries, and workboats, providing technical expertise, project management, and hands-on engineering. Key duties include:
Maintenance, repair, and overhaul of marine engines and transmissions
Integration of propulsion and auxiliary systems into vessels
Collaboration with naval architects, shipyard personnel, and operators
Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and ensuring high-quality engineering standards
What we\’re looking for:
We\’re seeking a candidate with proven marine engineering expertise and the drive to deliver exceptional results:
Marine Engineering Apprenticeship to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Recent experience with marine engines, gearboxes, and boat systems (up to 40m)
Familiarity with engine and gearbox brands we represent and manufacturer training courses
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and technical skills
Experience with overhauls, refurbishments, and maintenance to the highest standards
Commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction, with the ability to work independently
