We're recruiting for a Mobile Groundcare Engineer in Maldon, Essex, to join an established service team working with a varied range of modern groundcare, horticultural and agricultural machinery. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a varied technical role, combining customer site visits with workshop-based work. Competitive salary, depending on experience 32 days annual leave, including bank holidays Company van and mobile phone provided Company sick pay scheme Workplace pension Discounts on car tyres and purchases from country stores Death in Service cover of 2x annual salary Opportunities to develop your technical knowledge using modern equipment Key Responsibilities As a Mobile Groundcare Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Diagnosing faults and carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance on groundcare, horticultural and related machinery Travelling to customer sites to investigate and resolve machinery faults Using diagnostic equipment and software to identify faults and interpret fault codes Troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines and mechanical issues Identifying and replacing faulty parts in line with manufacturer specifications Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard, aiming to resolve issues first time Maintaining accurate digital service reports, including repair history and maintenance recommendations Keeping Service Managers, Service Advisors and customers updated on repair progress Following health and safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines and PPE requirements What we're looking for We're keen to hear from experienced engineers with a strong mechanical and diagnostic background. Ideally, you'll have: Previous experience as a time-served Service Engineer working on modern groundcare, agricultural or construction machinery Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines and machine software Confidence using diagnostic tools and equipment Good customer service, communication and IT skills Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills The ability to work independently, use initiative and manage your workload Previous groundcare machinery experience would be advantageous A full UK driving licence If you're looking for your next step as a Mobile Groundcare Engineer in Maldon, Essex, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established team with a competitive salary, company van, attractive benefits and a varied technical workload.
