What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and mentoring a talented team of 4-5 kitchen staff
  • Planning and managing rotas to ensure efficient coverage
  • Creating exciting and varied menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences
  • Ensuring all food preparation and kitchen operations adhere to the highest hygiene and safety standards
  • Playing a key role in the overall dining experience for residents

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, chef or catering manager ideally within a care home or similar setting
  • IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) training or demonstrable knowledge awareness
  • A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or higher
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent understanding of dietary requirements and nutritional needs
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on residents’ lives
  • The ability to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, including 1-2 weekends per month, with guaranteed weekdays off
