Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Preparing and overseeing high-quality food production
  • Supervising, training, and supporting the kitchen team during service
  • Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
  • Monitoring stock, reducing waste, and assisting with ordering
  • Ensuring efficient service and consistent food quality in a busy environment
  • Assisting with kitchen organisation, rotas, and daily operational duties

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior Chef within a fast-paced kitchen
  • Experience working within counter-style food service is preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining high standards
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Reliable, positive, and hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays when required
