We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Kitchen Porter in Farnborough, working within a prestigious hospitality environment. This temporary contract runs from 23rd June through to mid-August, offering up to five days per week, daytime hours, weekly pay, and the potential for live-in accommodation. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth operation of all stewarding and kitchen support functions, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout.
- Supervise pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen teams.
- Coordinate dishwashing, silver cleaning, storage, and distribution of supplies.
- Monitor cleanliness and organisation of kitchens, workrooms, storerooms, and equipment.
- Manage kitchen supplies, equipment, and stock control.
- Assist with banquet and event preparations, including staffing requirements.
- Maintain inventory records for china, glassware, silverware, and equipment.
- Monitor team performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Help minimise wastage and maintain security of stock and equipment.
What we're looking for
- An experienced Head Kitchen Porter who can confidently lead a stewarding team in a busy hospitality environment.
- Previous experience as a Head Kitchen Porter, Head Steward, or Chief Steward.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Experience managing kitchen support operations and stock control.
- Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work the full temporary contract from June through to August.
- A positive and proactive approach to teamwork.
