We have a highly sought after opportunity for a proven Sous Chef ready for the Senior Sous Chef title. Join a family-run independent restaurant known for its high-quality, fresh, seasonal menu in Burgess Hill.
The Package
- Salary: up to £45,000 Base + £5,000 tronc
- Tronc/Tips: £5,000 per year
- Work-Life Balance: 2.5 days off per week & reasonable finish times.
- Team: Work with an 8-chef brigade in a supportive environment.
- Development: Gain skills in GP, budgeting, and kitchen management.
The Role
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team alongside the Head Chef.
- Run kitchen sections and ensure high food/service standards.
- Mentor and train Junior Chefs.
- Manage ordering, stock control, and GP awareness.
- Uphold health & safety standards.
- Act as 'Head Chef' in their absence.
- Assist in menu development and seasonal specials.
