The role
As Head Chef, you'll take full ownership of the kitchen, leading the brigade while continually evolving the food offering. You'll be responsible for:
- Creating and developing fresh, seasonal menus
- Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team
- Delivering high-quality food across daily service, events, and functions
- Managing food costings, GP, stock control, and kitchen budgets
- Building strong relationships with local suppliers and sourcing quality produce
- Maintaining exceptional food hygiene, HACCP, and Health & Safety standards
- Driving consistency, creativity, and operational excellence throughout the kitchen
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or an accomplished Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Strong fresh food background with a passion for seasonal cooking
- Proven menu development and costing experience
- Commercial awareness with excellent GP and stock management skills
- A calm, positive leadership style that brings the best out of the team
- Someone with the drive and ambition to continually improve and grow the food offering
- Strong organisational and communication skills
