We are recruiting an experienced Catering Manager to lead a multi-site catering operation in Birmingham, combining people leadership, operational control, and hands-on cooking. This is a highly visible role, ideal for someone confident managing teams, systems, and service while staying present on the floor and engaging directly with patients.

As the Catering Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full catering operation, including:
- Managing and motivating catering teams across multiple locations
- Overseeing recruitment, rotas, disciplinaries, appraisals, 1-1s, and training
- Handling back-office duties including budgets, ordering, stock control, and costings
- Menu planning with a strong focus on quality, nutrition, and consistency
- Being front-facing with patients, checking menus, gathering feedback, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintaining compliance with food safety and IDDSI guidelines (training provided if required)
What we’re looking for:
- A confident and proven catering leader
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in catering management (not a step-up role)
- Strong multi-site experience with people management at the core
- Confidence in both operational delivery and hands-on cooking
- Experience working as a Chef Manager or at Executive Chef level within structured catering environments
- A collaborative, team-player mindset with excellent communication skills
- Willingness to be visible, approachable, and patient-focused across Birmingham sites
