Key Responsibilities:
You'll play an important role in producing high-quality precision components by:
- Setting up and operating CNC turning machines
- Programming CNC machines using G-code and making machine adjustments where required
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Selecting the correct tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Inspecting finished components using precision measuring equipment
- Maintaining tight tolerances and high quality standards
- Troubleshooting machining issues to minimise downtime
- Following health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean workspace
What we're looking for:
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner
- A strong understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling
- Experience reading engineering drawings and technical specifications
- CNC programming knowledge, ideally with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazatrol controls
- Experience using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
